ICQ Lite allows users to send or receive messages as well as communicate in the chat mode using web-cameras, play on-line games and transfer different files.
The users of this program have their own contact lists and the system always checks who is on-line from the corresponding ICQ-users. It is possible to choose the desirable status of the user on-line. Being in the active mode, the user can hide, so that only selected people could see him/her, or keep full anonymity. A good option consists in the possibility of chatting with an unlimited number of ICQ-users. ICQ-users can exchange messages instantly and transfer files in real time, but it is possible also to leave messages to those users who are currently off-line.
